Bloom, Bloom Trail High School: Your Back-To-School Guide 2019

District 206's classes start Aug. 19 for freshmen and Aug. 20 for all other students. What you need to know to get your kids back to school.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The first days of classes at Bloom and Bloom Trail high schools are quickly approaching, with classes for freshmen set to start August 19 and for all other students, August 20.

Here's what you need to know to get your child ready for school:

Bloom's school wide registration continues through July 30.

Returning students need proof of residency, and transfer students need to make an appointment to register by calling 708-755-1122 and dialing 0.

Freshmen need proof of immunizations, and students in the Class of 2020 also must have the second dose of the meningococcal vaccine before they can register. Learn more at Bloom's registration page.

Bloom also invites the families of the Class of 2023 to our Freshman Parent Night Wed., Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. Senior Parent Night will take place Thurs., Aug. 22, at 6 p.m. This meeting will help parents navigate through assisting their students with post-secondary plans. Financial Aid Night will be held Wed., Sept. 11 at 6 p.m.

The first home football game will be on Sept. 14 at noon at Sarff Field. The Blazing Trojans will play Rich Central.

Homecoming will take place Oct. 5. The Blazing Trojans take on Thornwood at noon.

Bloom Trail's school wide registration continues through July 30.

Bloom Trail also is inviting the families of the Class of 2023 to Freshman Parent Night Tues., Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Also, Bloom Trail will continue its tradition of presenting family-friendly entertainment to the communities. Mark your calendars for November 21 to 23 for Trail Theatre Troupe’s production of Junie B Jones.
