Bomb Threat 'Unfounded': Chicago Heights Middle School Principal
The threat was reported Monday morning.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A bomb threat that made against Chicago Heights Middle School Monday morning was unfounded, administration wrote in an email to parents.
Students and faculty were evacuated from the school at 1020 Dixie Hwy and relocated to the auditorium of Bloom High School while authorities investigated. The building was cleared as of 11 a.m., and students and staff returned to the school.
"Safety is a top priority at CMHS and we are thankful to the students, security staff, teachers, administration, local law enforcement, and Bloom High School that immediately took action to help keep our students safe," Principal Chris Baikauskas wrote.
