Electrician Dies In Accident At Bloom High School
Craig Krygowski, 50, died Sunday after an electrocution accident at Bloom High School in Chicago Heights.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A contractor working at Bloom High School died Sunday by electrocution after he came into contact with lives wires, authorities said. The Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death an accident.
Craig Krygowski, 50, made contact with live wires just before 1 p.m. July 20 while he was working inside the Chicago Heights high school, Chicago Heights police and school district officials said. He was taken to Franciscan Health Hospital in Olympia Fields, where he was pronounced dead at 1:58 p.m.
Krygowski, of Posen, was not a district employee, but worked with a firm contracted to do work at the school, said District 206 spokesman Christopher Paicely. No further information was available.

"We at Bloom Township High School District 206 were saddened to learn about the untimely passing of Craig Krygowski during an accident involving electrical wiring at Bloom High School," said Superintendent Lenell Navarre. "While Mr. Krygowski was not an employee of the district, his work as a contractor was in the service of improving our school and we are keeping his family and loved ones in our thoughts during this challenging time."
