Governor's Highway Rail Crossing Closed May 6 For Construction
The railroad crossing at Governor's Highway in University Park will be closed for one week beginning May 6 for reconstruction work.

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — The Canadian National railroad crossing at Governor’s Highway in University Park will be closed for one week beginning May 6, the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The crossing will be constructed that day, weather permitting. Traffic will detour to Monee-Manhattan Road, Central Avenue and Stuenkel Road/University Parkway.
The work is expected to be complete by May 13.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to detour signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
