Lane Closures Coming to Route 30 In Chicago Heights May 1

The lane closures will be from Edgewood Avenue to Chicago Road as part of bridge work in Chicago Heights. It should end in July.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Lane closures on U.S. Route 30 are coming to Chicago Heights May 1.

The closures are part of bridge improvements over Thorn Creek, the Illinois Department of Transportation said. The project includes substructure repairs, reconstruction of bridge joints and a new concrete overlay.

The lane closures are expected to happen between Edgewood Avenue and Chicago Road.

The work is expected to be complete by the end of July.

Access to all businesses will be maintained in the work zone, IDOT said.
