Old Dominion Freight Line To Host Job Fair

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — Old Dominion Freight Line, one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in North America, is hosting an in-person job fair at its service center located in University Park, Thursday, to hire 10 full-time employees.

According to a news release, the job openings are to accommodate business growth in the region. Management is slated to host interviews and make hiring decisions onsite. Old Dominion is hiring 10 drivers this fall for added support to accommodate growing business needs in the Chicago area.

According to the release since January, the company has hired more than 1,200 Class A CDL truck drivers nationwide to accommodate business growth. Old Dominion is an equal opportunity employer.

The open positions include local and line haul drivers with $78,000 to $100,000 average annual pay, the release states. Old Dominion is also hiring team drivers with $202,000 average annual pay and a $5,000 sign-on bonus available for select applicants.

"This is a great opportunity for those interested in a new career path as Old Dominion offers training programs for drivers," the company said. "Old Dominion’s Driver Tuition Reimbursement program will reimburse up to $3,500 to qualified students from an approved truck driver training school."
