Weekend Lane Closures On I-80/94, Illinois 394: IDOT
Illinois Department of Transportation officials will continue weekend closures for pavement patching and other repairs, they said.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Multiple weekend lane closures can be expected Friday through Monday on Interstate 80/94 and Illinois 394, Illinois Department of Transportation officials announced. The closures are part of ongoing pavement patching in the area which began on Oct. 1.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, westbound lanes of I-80/94 will be closed between Illinois 394 and Wentworth Avenue. Officials said at least two westbound lanes will remain open until crews leave at around noon on Sunday, Nov. 14. Eastbound I-80/94 ramps will not be affected by the closures.
Also beginning Friday, southbound lanes of Illinois 394 will be closed in between Thornton Lansing Road and I-80 from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. One southbound lane will remain open during construction and northbound Illinois 394 ramps will not be closed.

Officials did not immediately respond to questions on how many more weekends the road closures will continue.
Drivers and other motorists can expect delays in the area. State police and transportation representatives ask that everyone on the roads pay attention to flags and signs in the work zones.
