1 Person Dies In Crystal Lake House Fire

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — One person has died after firefighterS rescued the resident from a house fire on Coventry Lane Thursday morning.

Fire crews responded to 955 Coventry Lane at about 7:40 a.m. for the reported fire at the single-family home, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department. Firefighters rescued one person and two dogs from the home, and the resident was transported to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley.

The person died from injuries sustained, fire officials said. No firefighters were injured in the incident.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting with the fire investigation.
