2 Men Accused Of Stealing Cannabis Plants From Home: Police

The men entered the McHenry home through an unlocked door and are accused of fleeing the scene with the plants.

MCHENRY, IL — The McHenry Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down two suspects accused of stealing marijuana plants from a home in McHenry.

Police say the two men entered the home in the 5200 block of Shore Drive at about 6 p.m. on Sunday, confronted the four people living inside and "under the threat of force demanded cannabis," according to a news release from the McHenry Police Department.

After they took the plants, they fled the home. No one was injured in the incident, police said.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office assisted the police department with a search of the area but they did not find the suspects, according to a news release. Police say they do not believe there is any additional threat to the community.

Meanwhile, the McHenry Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects.
