3 Norge Ski Jumpers Headed To Olympics
The local ski jumpers will represent the U.S. in Beijing as the 2022 Winter Olympics get underway this week.
FOX RIVER GROVE, IL — Three local ski jumpers who trained at the Norge Ski Club in Fox River Grove will be competing in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Kevin Bickner of Wauconda will make his second trip to the Olympics after finishing eighth in the team standings, 11th on the large hill and 47th on the normal hill at the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang.
Representing the Norge Ski Jumping Club in Fox River Grove, Casey Larson placed ninth in the team event, 39th on the normal hill and 53rd on the large hill at the 2018 Winter Games.

Also making his second trip to the Olympics in ski jumping is Casey Larson of Barrington. Larson placed ninth in the team event, 39th on the normal hill and 53rd on the large hill at the 2018 Winter Games.
Patrick Gasienca, a Spring Grove native, will also be headed to Beijing this year as a member of the Fox River Grove-based Norge ski jumping team.

The trio is expected to compete during the men's normal hill qualification round at 2 p.m. Friday in Beijing. The event will air at 11:15 p.m. Friday Central Standard Time on NBC and over Peacock live-streaming services. Ski jumping competitions on the normal hill will continue on Sunday, with finals slated for 8 p.m. Sunday in Beijing, which will air over NBC and Peacock live-streaming at 4 a.m. Sunday.
