400-Pound Beam Falls On Construction Worker In Cary: Authorities
The man was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center for further treatment.
CARY, IL — A construction worker was seriously injured when a 400-pound steel beam fell on him while working in Cary Wednesday morning.
The Cary Fire Protection District was called to the work site in the 300 block of Haber Lane in Cary at about 8:15 a.m. for the report of the steel beam that had fallen on the construction worker, according to a news release from the fire protection district.
When emergency crews arrived, the steel beam had already been removed from the male patient. A medical helicopter was called, and the man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center for further treatment.

An update on his condition is not immediately available, and the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
