76 Tickets Issued During Distracted Driving Detail In Crystal Lake

The distracted driving campaign took place in April.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Police Department issued dozens of citations during a distracted driving enforcement detail in April.

In total, police issued 55 hands-free law violations and 21 other traffic citations, including tickets for speeding and operation of uninsured motor vehicles, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Distracted Driving Awareness Month allows the Crystal Lake Police Department to bring a
heightened awareness to the dangers of distracted driving. The Crystal Lake Police Department joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners for this enforcement effort.
