
Arthur B. Schlenkert, 93, of Woodstock, formerly of Crystal Lake and of Harvard, passed away peacefully June 13, 2013.
He was born January 18, 1920 to Anthony and Alice Schlenkert in New York, NY.
Arthur was raised in Chicago and served a few years in the Navy during World War II stationed in Hawaii. Following his enlistment, he worked for Sargent & Lundy Engineers for 33 years.
After his retirement, he became the park manager of Oak Brook Estates for 14 years.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Harriett Schlenkert (nee Deehring); children, Linda (Rocco) Rubolino, William (Mary) Schlenkert; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Â

He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Arthur will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
A brief visitation will be held the following day, Tuesday, June 18 at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until prayers at 10 a.m. followed by procession to Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
