WOODSTOCK, IL — A blaze caused $1 million in damages to a Woodstock-area barn, which was known for promoting local businesses.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called to the fire in the 1600 block of South Rose Farm Road in unincorporated Woodstock at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the fire/rescue district. When fire crews arrived at the barn, they found it fully engulfed in flames.

ABC 7 Chicago is reporting the barn is a local landmark and was well known for having signs up that promoted businesses. No animals or people were hurt in the fire, but the barn, which was used for storage, was destroyed in the blaze.
