Bart E. Schiewe, 44, of Fox River Grove

Bart E. Schiewe, 44, of Fox River Grove was born May 21, 1969, in Park Ridge and passed away August 20, 2013, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Bart was a devoted and loving husband, a best ever father, a loving son, beloved brother and cousin, a kind-hearted brother-in-law. He loved his family to the fullest.
While a carpenter by trade, he loved nature and life. He took in everything, willingly shared his knowledge, and was always ready to lend a hand. Bart’s incredible sense of humor would bring smiles and laughter to those around him both young and old.
His passion for billiards led Bart to meet and play with world champions. Coaching his daughter’s soccer team brought him great joy. He loved golf, tennis, bowling, fishing, and playing drums.

He also loved cooking for family and friends. He was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Bart is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kathryn (nee Casey); daughter Sarah; sister Holly (Dan) Taifer; brother Kurt (Nora) Schiewe; mother Helen (nee Koenen) Schiewe; nieces and nephews, Emily, Brett, Daniella (Justin), Heather (Monty), Kelly (Anthony), and Ashley and Brian Casey; cousins, John (Krina), Chris (Debbie), and David Koenen; brother-in-law Bill (Rose) Casey; and sister-in law Jeanne (Donnie McCarthy) Casey.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Schiewe.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 25, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook), Barrington.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, at Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Road, Barrington, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Schiewe family for the future education of Sarah Schiewe.
