Blood Drive Planned In Honor Of Fallen Deputy Keltner
Here's when and where the National Blue Blood Drive in honor of Deputy Jacob Keltner will take place.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The family of McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Keltner who was killed in the line of duty on March 7 has set up a blood drive in his honor. According to the sheriff's office, the National Blue Blood Drive in honor of Deputy Keltner will take place 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Jan. 9. It will be held at D'Andrea Banquets at 4419 Northwest Highway, in Crystal Lake, according to the sheriff's office.
If you'd like to attend the upcoming blood drive, the sheriff's office asks that you pre-register at redcrossblood.org and to please enter code Keltner under "Find a Blood Drive" on the web page.
All who pre-register will receive a free tshirt.

Keltner, 35, was a husband to Becki, and a father to their two young sons, ages 4 and 6.

Keltner was assigned to the U.S. Marshal's Office Task Force, and fatally shot while attempting to serve a warrant to a fugitive at a motel in Rockford, dying just hours later.
