Body Found In Burning Home In Fox Lake

Firefighters found the body of a man in his 50s while batting the blaze Thursday morning.

FOX LAKE, IL — Firefighters with the Fox Lake Fire Protection District found the body of a man in his 50s in a home while battling a blaze Thursday morning.

Fire crews were called to the blaze in the 200 block of Lippincott Lane at about 7:40 a.m. and found the body while searching the home, Fox Lake Fire Protection District Lt. Corinne Bauer told the Daily Herald.

The identity of the man is being withheld until his family can be notified, fire officials said.
