Bolestaw 'Bill' Urbanski, 88; WWII Navy Veteran

A memorial visitation for Bolestaw will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.

Bolestaw “Bill” Urbanski, 88, entered into his new life on Nov. 6, 2013, with his loving family at his side. 

Born Aug. 27, 1925, in Bayonne, New Jersey, Bill proudly served his country with the Navy in WWII as well as the Korean War.

Following his active duty, Bill was a civilian Navy contractor for 30 years. Next to being a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he enjoyed outdoor activities to include hunting, fishing and camping. 

Bill will be dearly missed by his two loving daughters, Debra (Leo) Velez, and Linda (Dave) Evins; three grandchildren, Jason (Sara) Velez, William (Diana) Manley, and Christina Velez; two great-grandchildren, Santiago and Joaquin Velez. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bolestaw and Mary Urbanski, and his loving sisters, Janet (Jack) McKenzie and Jean (Al) Smith. 

A memorial visitation for Bolestaw will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the JourneyCare Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010.
