Burglar 'Acting Suspicious' Near Police Officer's Home Arrested: Cops

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 42-year-old Elgin woman faces felony charges for allegations she burglarized several Crystal Lake homes.
Miriam Aranada, of the 100 block of North McClean Boulevard Elgin, is charged with residential burglary, burglary and possession of burglary tools.
She was taken into custody on an arrest warrant out of Kane County after she was spotted "acting suspiciously" near the home of a member of the Crystal Lake Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit, according to a news release from the police department. She was arrested aon Feb. 20 in the 800 block of Chasefield Lane.

She is accused of burglarizing several homes in the 800 block of Chaserfield Lane and 900 block of Gold Course Lane.
This investigation remains active and is still ongoing. Additional criminal charges are anticipated.
