A SWEET HOLIDAY TRADITION FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
This performance is a 60 minute adaptation of the classic holiday tale. 
Join Clara at her annual Christmas Eve party at the Staulbaum house enjoying a night full of celebration, dancing, and magic! As the party comes to a close Clara sneaks downstairs to find her precious new Nutcracker doll and falls asleep dreaming of her wonderful evening. Clara, startled awake by a group of mischievous mice, takes on an exciting journey with Drosselmeyer and her precious Nutcracker.
Battling a life-size mouse Queen, slipping &amp; sliding with snowmen &amp; dazzling Snow Queen, and then flying off on an enchanted crystal sleigh to meet the Queen of the Angels, Clara visits the Land of Sweets in an adventure not to be missed this holiday season! 
Nutcracker is co-produced by Engage Dance Academy and Raue Center For The Arts.

Get your New Year’s Eve off to a great start by helping out at an oak rescue in beautiful McHenry County, where we will work to rescue a mighty oak tree!
What is an oak rescue? It’s an opportunity for people to work together to free an old oak tree from the brush that surrounds it. Some people cut the brush with saws while others stack the brush into piles that we burn to keep warm. It’s a few hours of work that is gratifying because the big old oak is left in a healthier state … free to breathe and reach out its branches. And its acorns are able to grow into big old oaks.
Come enjoy the winter air and the warm feeling of doing something good for the McHenry County landscape! Afterward your hard work will be rewarded with a lunch of brats, hot dogs and a vegetarian option. Feel free to bring a dish to pass if you like.
Please register if you are planning to attend, so we can be sure to have enough food. However, last-minute volunteers are welcome to attend.Please park on one side of the street so the residents have access. Thank you. 42.4645, -88.2463 (near 9468 Bellaire Ln, Spring Grove, IL 60081)
