Cary Couple Welcome 'First Baby Born in 2013 at Good Shepherd'

The first baby born in 2013 at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington has finally arrived.

Welcome Bronx Borscha to the world. He was born at 9:32 a.m. on Jan. 2, weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long.

Mom Kelley Borscha of Cary was in labor for two days before delivering her son Wednesday morning. Her husband said they didn’t expect to have the first baby of the year.

“Especially being on Jan. 2, we figured that there would be one before us. We’re both very excited,” Sean Borscha said.

Sean Borscha said his wife is “doing good, a little tired” and the baby is “doing great.”
