Cary Home Damaged by Fire

A house at 112 Fox Street in Cary sustained damage Saturday afternoon when fire broke out in a second story room, the Northwest Herald reports.

Fox Street is located on the east side of town in a subdivision northeast of Newbold Road and East Main Street.

Firefighters responded to the call at about 3:45 p.m. when the homeowner smelled smoke and the home's fire alarms sounded. The fire was contained to one room, but the second floor had smoke damage. The cause of the fire is unknown, and estimate of the damage was not yet determined, the Herald reports.
