Cause Of House Fire Near McHenry Under Investigation
The blaze broke out Sunday afternoon at the home in the 1500 block of North Hillside Lane.
MCHENRY, IL — No one was injured in a fire at home near McHenry Sunday afternoon.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was called to the home in the 1500 block of North Hillside Lane at about 4:12 p.m. Sunday where fire crews found a large fire in the back of the single-story garage, which was attached to the two-story home.
Fire crews quickly began extinguishing the blaze and searched the home. They found no one inside the residence and the fire was brought under control within eight minutes, according to the news release.

No one was injured in the fire, and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
