Northbound Main Street Closure and Detour

Crystal Lake – The northbound lane of North Main Street between Gates Street and Illinois Route 176 will be closed starting Monday, March 14, 2022 and ending Friday June 3, 2022. This closure is part of the North Main Street and Illinois Route 176 Improvement Project which includes a new traffic signal at Illinois Route 176, turn lanes and water main improvements. An eastbound detour for Illinois Route 176 will be required in June for the remainder of the water main work. Anticipated completion for the project is October 2022.

The detour route for the northbound Main Street closure will be Gates Street to Walkup Avenue to Illinois Route 176. The southbound lanes along Main Street will remain open throughout the project. Signs will be posted.
