Coroner IDs Inmate Who Died At McHenry County Jail

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Authorities have identified the inmate who was found dead in his cell at the McHenry County Jail on Tuesday as Timothy Mumford, 74, of Johnsburg.
Mumford was arrested last month following a standoff in Johnsburg, and was identified as the inmate who was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead, according to media reports and a coroner's news release.
Court records show he was being held at the jail pending psychological tests, according to Shaw Local News Network. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
