Coroner IDs Man, 50, Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash Near Woodstock

The collision happened in the area of Kishwaukee Valley Road and South Hughes Road in unincorporated Woodstock.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a 50-year-old man killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning near Woodstock.

Donald Markham, of Belvidere, died in the crash, which happened in the area of Kishwaukee Valley Road and South Hughes Road in unincorporated Woodstock when a commercial truck collided with a pickup truck at about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Markham, who was driving the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the commercial truck was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and declined any medical treatment.

Preliminary findings from an autopsy show blunt force injuries caused Markham's death. Toxicology is currently pending, authorities said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
