Coroner IDs Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Woodstock

The crash happened in the 400 block of East Kimball Street.

WOODSTOCK, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a Woodstock man killed in a single-vehicle collision Sunday.

The collision happened in the 400 block of East Kimball Avenue at about 10 p.m., according to a news release. The male driver, and sole occupant in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kimball Avenue remained closed for several hours following the collision.

On Tuesday, the coroner's office identified the man as Gregory Rokus, 53, of Woodstock. Preliminary results from an autopsy show Rokus died from blunt force trauma as a cause of death.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
