Crystal Lake Baby Is Among First Born In New Year In Chicago Area
Forrest Jeremiah Mahoney was born at 3:55 p.m. on Jan. 1 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Crystal Lake family welcomed one of the first babies born in the New Year in the Chicago area.
Forrest Jeremiah Mahoney was born at 3:55 p.m. on Jan. 1 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, according to a news release from Advocate Health. Forrest was 8 pounds, 12 ounces and 21 inches in length.
Forrest's mom and dad, Caitlyn and Ryan from Crystal Lake, say Forrest was named after his great-great grandfather and uncle. Forrest has a little sister, Lorelei.
