Crystal Lake Man, 64, ID'd As Victim In Fatal House Fire: Coroner
Morise Bello was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, which took place on Oriole Trail early Sunday when he was found inside the home.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – A 64-year-old Crystal Lake man has been identified as the person who was killed in the house fire that also injured another person on Sunday, the McHenry County Coroner’s Office reported on Tuesday.
Morise Bello was pronounced dead on Sunday morning after his body was found inside a home in the 400 block of Oriole Trail. Firefighters were called the home at 2:43 a.m. on Sunday and found flames coming from the back of the home.
Firefighters were able to rescue another person who was trapped on the second level of the home, officials said Sunday. That person was taken to a local hospital where they were treated for injuries associated with smoke inhalation.

Firefighters found another person, later identified as Bello, in a first-level room. The McHenry County Coroner’s Office was contacted about 5:30 am. The autopsy was completed on Tuesday and toxicology reports are pending.
The fire caused about $125,000 damage to the home, officials said. Fire officials said there were working smoke detectors in the home at the time of the fire. The home sustained major smoke and water damage and was determined to be uninhabitable until repairs can be made.
