Crystal Lake Mobile Home Fire Under Investigation
About a dozen agencies were called to help Crystal Lake fire crews at the scene of a Valhalla Circle mobile home fire.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department and several local agencies responded to a fire at a mobile home Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Valhalla Circle in Crystal Lake. According to a release from the department, crews arrived at the scene at 4:58 a.m. as flames filled the home, causing crews to fight the fire from outside. All occupants were reported out of the home when department crews arrive, fire officials said.
The department said the fire started spreading to another unit but was quickly put out, and no firefighters were injured. However, one of the occupants suffered minor burns, the department said.
About a dozen local agencies were called to assist Crystal Lake fire crews by the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS), a release said. Fire officials said damage from the fire is estimated at $75,000, and investigators from Crystal Lake and surrounding communities are investigating the cause of the fire.
