The Crystal Lake Police Department is now accepting applications for its Citizen Police Academy which starts on September 5 and ends November 21.
The class will meet on Thursday nights from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
In order to participate, you must be at least 18 years of age, complete the Application and Waiver of Liability located on the City of Crystal Lake Webpage at the following link: (http://www.crystallake.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=535) and pass a criminal background check.
Preference is given to residents and persons who work in Crystal Lake. Once residents and persons who work in Crystal Lake have been accommodated, anyone else is free to attend.
