Donna J. Gius, 69, of Crystal Lake passed away on October 9, 2013, at Crystal Pines Health Care.
She was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Oak Park to Stanley and Virginia (Collins) Trownsell.
Her father died when she was young and her mother married Harry Schnell who raised Donna and her siblings like his own.
Donna was a resident of Crystal Pines for many years where she was very involved in their activities; she will be missed by all there. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her siblings, Richard (Ann) Trownsell, Ted (Suzanne) Trownsell, Tom Schnell, Mary Lynn (Richard) Frank, Betty (James) Smith, and Robert Schnell; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Gius, her fathers, Stanley Trownsell and Harry Schnell, and her mother, Virginia Schnell.
Services for Donna will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crystal Pines Health Care Activities Fund, 335 N. Illinois St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
