Driver Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Crashing Car Into Utility Pole In Woodstock
The crash remains under investigation by the Woodstock Police Department.
Firefighters had to extricate a person who suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing their car into a utility pole Saturday evening in Woodstock.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and Woodstock Police Department responded around 4:03 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Route 14 and Doty Road.

Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Spokesman Alex Vucha said crews received a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Police officers with the Woodstock Police Department arrived and reported the driver was trapped and unconscious in the vehicle, Vucha said.

Firefighters arrived a short time later and confirmed one vehicle was off the road and collided with a utility pole.

The crash occurred approximately 1000 feet west of the intersection along the north side of the road.
The victim was quickly and safely removed from the vehicle through the front passenger door, Vucha said.
They were transported to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock with serious life-threatening injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and Route 14 remained open during the incident.
