Drop Off Electronics at Recycling Drive in McHenry County
Environmental Defenders of McHenry County is a local non-profit, and receives no government funding to offer this service to the community.

From The Environmental Defenders: The Environmental Defenders will hold its next monthly drive in Richmond on SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 9:00 am to 12 noon (or until truck is full): Richmond Village Hall, 5600 Hunter Drive, Richmond. For information on future drives, please go to www.mcdef.org/recycling.
Donations offset the costs of transportation and fees charged to Environmental Defenders of McHenry County by recyclers who separate materials and make them ready for future use. Environmental Defenders of McHenry County is a local non-profit, and receives no government funding to offer this service to the community.

-Electronics – (anything that plugs in or runs on batteries. A charge of $.50 per pound but not exceeding a maximum of $40 for each TV or computer monitor.)
-Fluorescent tubes ($.50 to $1 each depending on size)

-Batteries (household, rechargeable, car, and button‒$.50 per pound)
-Cloth items—clothing, linens, or just plain rags, clean and in a bag. You can also bring shoes, tied together by their laces and placed in the bag.
-Clean Styrofoam – all colors
-Re- useable bubble wrap
-VHS & cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs and floppy disks
Special electronics recycling drives are also scheduled for those who live in McHenry Township for: 6/17, 7/15, 8/19, 10/21, and 11/18. Time: 8AM to Noon. Location: 3703 N. Richmond Road.
