Drug Dealer Who Battered Police Officer Gets Prison Time: Prosecutors

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 26-year-old McHenry man has been sentenced to prison after he was convicted on drug and battery charges in McHenry County.
Dylan Wetzel-Connor, of McHenry, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to an unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and aggravated battery charges.
Authorities launched an investigation into Wetzel-Connor when they learned he was actively using and selling cocaine. On July 11, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office deputies searched his home and found "materials associated with cocaine and methamphetamine use and distribution," according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

This included a scale, packaging materials and several grams of packaged cocaine that were prepared in a manner indicative to be for sale and distribution.
While trying to take him into custody, Wetzel-Connor battered an office, authorities said.
