DUI Driver Arrested, Charged In Fatal Crash That Killed Woman, 33: Police
The 58-year-old Addison man was arrested Tuesday after being released from the hospital.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 58-year-old Addison man has been arrested on drunken driving charges for allegations he caused a crash that killed a 33-year-old Des Plaines woman and injured three others over the weekend in Lake County.
Andrew D. Willard, of the 600 block of West Natalie Lane, has been charged with aggravated DUI causing death, a class 2 felony, and DUI-alcohol. He also has been cited for traffic violations, police said Tuesday.
Investigators believe Willard's blood alcohol concentration was more than twice the legal limit for alcohol when he crashed Saturday night. Christopher Covelli, deputy chief with the sheriff's office, said police could not release his exact BAC "until we have the official medical records."

Additional charges are possible, police said Tuesday.
On Monday, the Lake County Coroner's Office identified the 33-year-old Des Plaines woman killed in the three-vehicle collision in Wadsworth as Bogdana Mygal. Mygal was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center following the crash, which happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The collision happened when a 2020 Porsche Macan, driven by Willard, was headed west on Russell Road and approaching a stop sign at Frontage Road, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The Porsche — while driving at a "high rate of speed" — crashed into the rear of a 2016 Chevrolet Volt, which was stopped at the stop sign.
The Chevrolet then crashed into a 2020 Mercedes-Benz, which was also stopped at the stop sign in front of the Chevrolet, according to the news release.
Mygal was riding as a passenger in the Chevrolet.
Four others were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening, including: the driver and another passenger in the Chevrolet, a 4-year-old Niles girl; the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, a 40-year-old Schaumburg man; and Willard.
Willard was released from the hospital on Tuesday and immediately taken into custody, police said.
He was expected in court Tuesday where the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office plans to file a petition to detain him as he awaits trial.
