Early-Morning Fire Damages Crystal Lake Home, Displaces Family: FD
The Stone Creek Circle home caught fire and did an estimated $225,000 in damage after flames were seen coming from the second floor.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — No one was injured after Crystal Lake fire crews were called to a home early Tuesday morning after the residence caught fire, officials said.
Flames could be seen coming from the rear of the home after the fire was reported in the 900 block of Stone Creek Circle at 3:30 a.m., Crystal Lake fire officials said in a news release. The residents were home at the time of the fire but were able to escape without injury.
The fire caused damage to the second story and the remainder of the home sustained heat, water, and smoke damage, fire officials said. The home has been deemed uninhabitable while repairs can be made. The fire was under control by 3:55 a.m. and the fire did an estimated $225,000 in damage, officials said.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family and no firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
