Elderly Man Killed In Head-On Crash Near Woodstock
The collision happened Thursday morning on Charles Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — An 88-year-old Kenosha man was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Woodstock on Thursday morning.
A 46-year-old Machesney Park man sustained minor injures in the collision, which happened at about 7:40 a.m. on Charles Road in unincorporated Woodstock, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
The collision happened when a 2000 Lincoln Town Car, which was headed west on Charles Road, lost control and hit an eastbound 2014 Hyundai head-on, according to a news release. The driver of the Lincoln, the 88-year-old Kenosha man, was taken to Northwest Hospital and later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 46-year-old Machesney Park man, was treated and released at the scene.
Both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
