Fire Crews Rescue Worker From Plant During Blaze: Officials

The blaze broke out at Chroma Color Corporation in McHenry early Tuesday.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — One person was rescued from Chroma Color Corporation early Tuesday after two large machines inside the plant started on fire.

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was called to the blaze at about 3 a.m. at Chroma Color, which is located at 3900 Dayton Street in McHenry, according to a news release from the fire district.

Workers leaving the one-story industrial building told fire crews there was still someone inside, fire officials said. The worker was quickly located and removed from the building.

No one was injured in the blaze, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
