Fire Officials Investigate Cause Of Weekend House Fire In Crystal Lake

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to the fire at about 3:20 a.m. at a home in the 9200 block of Arthur Street.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — No one was injured in a blaze that broke out early Saturday in Crystal Lake.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded to the fire at about 3:20 a.m. at a home in the 9200 block of Arthur Street, fire officials said. When they arrived, they found a small fire outside the home.

All the residents had evacuated the home, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Fire Protection District.

Fire crews first at the scene found a blaze that had started inside the home had moved to the exterior wall of the residence, according to the news release. They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

The home sustained fire, smoke and water damage, which was limited to a single room.
