Sheriff’s deputies continued searching and were able to locate two heavily damaged vehicles matching the description, Vucha said.

The vehicles were found a half-mile inside The Hollows Conservation Area, 3804 Northwest Highway in unincorporated Cary.

Firefighters were immediately re-dispatched and arrived minutes later, Vucha said.

A minivan, occupied by a female driver, sustained heavy damage, leaving the woman trapped.
