Four Generations of Rasmussen Family Attend Trolley Tour

Jack Rasmussen grew up at 71 Pine Court, a house featured on the 2013 Heritage Trolley Tour in Crystal Lake.

Jack Rasmussen attended the 16th Annual Heritage Trolley Tour on Sunday with his family because his childhood home was a featured stop.

Rasmussen grew up in the Tudor style house at 71 Pine Court, one of the homes featured in the "Welcome to Swedenberg" Trolley Tour hosted by the Crystal Lake Historic Preservation Commission.

Now splitting his time between Panama City, Fla. and McHenry, Rasmussen was joined on the tour by his daughter, Kim Sade; grandson, Curt Fogelsong; and great-grandson, Mason (who drifted off to sleep).

Rasmussen's dad, Carl, bought the two-story house in 1944, he said. The family with eight children lived in the home along with Jack's grandparents. The eight-acre parcel was a fruit farm, Jack said.

More about the Rasmussen family farm is featured in the attached video.
