CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - Fourth of July festivities are heading to Crystal Lake this weekend in the form of a parade and fireworks show.

City of Crystal Lake officials are sponsoring all 2017 Independence Day fun set for Sunday, July 2, and they said they, "expect another great show this year."

The city's annual parade will precede fireworks — the sparkly stuff starts around dusk — and follow a 1.8-mile route from City Hall, 100 W. Woodstock St., down Dole Avenue, and up to the Lakeside Festival grounds.
