Dementia caregivers can gain a fresh perspective on caring for their loved ones from Dr. Jennifer Stelter, author of “The Busy Caregiver’s Guide to Advanced Alzheimer’s Disease” Wednesday, June 5, at 4:30pm at The Village Squire, 125 Washington Street, West Dundee, IL.
Dr. Stelter will share her Johns Hopkins-approved Dementia Connection Model over a complimentary dinner followed by a book signing at the event co-hosted by Encore Memory Care communities at Crystal Lake and South Barrington. Ten copies of “The Busy Caregiver’s Guide” will be raffled off at the event!
Dr. Stelter is a clinical psychologist, national speaker, and Dementia Care and Senior Living Consultant, who helps caregivers foster positive bonds with the people they care for.
Guests will learn how to better understand, cope with, and handle some of the most challenging behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss while encouraging independence and quality of life for their loved ones. Dr. Stelter teaches caregivers how to stay emotionally, mentally, and physically involved in their loved one’s lives using strategies and interventions from her book.
RSVP by June 1 for the complimentary presentation and dinner with Alisa at (312) 956-3399 at RSVP@encorecares.com.
