'Gun' Displayed In Grayslake North Parking Lot: Police

Two people were detained following the incident Friday afternoon, police said. A BB gun was recovered as well.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Criminal charges are expected to be filed after Grayslake police received a report of a firearm that was displayed by a person in a vehicle in Grayslake North High School parking lot last week.

Police responded to the high school, 1925 N Illinois 83, at about 3:20 p.m. Friday after receiving the report, according to a news release from the Grayslake Police Department.

The offending vehicle was observed leaving the lot and was quickly located, police said. Two people were detained and a BB gun was recovered.
