Harvard Man Who Had 1,800 Grams Of Cannabis In Trunk Sentenced

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A McHenry County judge sentenced a Harvard man to five years in prison four months after police found out he had 1,800 grams of cannabis in the trunk of his car, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's office. Patrick Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 33-year-old Robert R. Willett has been found guilty of felony possession of cannabis (500 to 2,000 grams), following a plea deal before Judge Michael Coppedge, according to the news release.

On July 12, members of the Harvard Police Department arrested Willett on an outstanding warrant, and during that time found out about the cannabis in the trunk of Willett's car, according to the state's attorney's office.

Willett has been sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
