Harvard Woman Dies In I-90 Crash

The collision happened on Interstate 90 Tuesday morning near Schaumburg.

COOK COUNTY, IL — A 51-year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near Schaumburg, authorities said.

Authorities say the collision happened at about 8:40 a.m.in the far-right eastbound lanes of I-90when a vehicle driven by Aimee C. Simmons rear-ended a tractor-trailer, which had stopped traffic, according to the Daily Herald.

Simmons, 51, of Harvard, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's report.
