Heavy Police Presence In Johnsburg; Residents Told To Shelter In Place

JOHNSBURG, IL — Residents living in an area in Johnsburg have been advised to shelter in place early Wednesday.

A heavy police presence was reported in the area of Hamlin Drive and Filmore Road at about midnight, according to a post on the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. Any residents living in the area were told to shelter in place until further notice, police said.

All others were advised to avoid the area.
