Heavy Police Presence Reported Late Thursday In Crystal Lake; Situation Has Been 'Resolved'

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — An incident that drew a heavy police presence to the Crystal Lake area ended peacefully early Thursday, authorities said.

Authorities first sent out an alert regarding the "heavy police presence" in the area of Manor Road in Crystal Lake at about 11:40 p.m. At that time, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office urged residents to avoid the area until further notice.

At about 4:30 a.m., police said the area. Shaw Local News Networkis reporting the incident was resolved "peacefully."
