Helen Louise Brasie, of Crystal Lake

Helen Louise Brasie of Crystal Lake, formerly of Elmhurst, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home. 

Helen was born in Berwyn, the daughter of Alphonsus and Pearl Phillimore. She was a graduate of Proviso East High School and received an associate degree from the College of DuPage. 

Helen enjoyed pottery, oil painting, floral arrangements and basket making. She served as secretary for Senior Citizens, Crystal Lake, and was active in many senior care clubs.

Beloved wife of 64 years of William H. Brasie, loving mother of the late Stephen (Jeannie) Brasie, Kathleen (Bill) Marciniak and Phillip (Cindy) Brasie. She leaves loving grandchildren; Scott (Gustavo) Shenefelt, Mark (Esther) Shenefelt, Stephanie (David) Pigman, Jason (Gail) Brasie, Emily Brasie, Donald (Sarah) Brasie and Michael Brasie, great-granddaughter Madison Brasie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, oldest son and her sister Georgia Carlisle.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the noon service on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Senior Services Associates, 110 W. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake, IL. 60014.
